This is another song about unrequited love. Serbs seem to have a lot of that going around.
The song is about a women lamenting about wanting to be with a particular individual and even wanting to get old together with this special person. The chorus basically says that in the morning when she awakens and realizes that she is all alone, it would have been better if she never woke up.
It’s interesting however that the song is performed in such an up-tempo manner in spite of the sad lyrics. Many bands include this in their kolo set so people are dancing and singing. Perhaps it’s truly a case of misery loves company.
