This is a simple song in the “Lički” style about a guy who sees a young lady across the meadow and starts wondering whose field is this…he gets his answer that her father owns the field, her mother the grass.
Our fellow decides as long as the wind is swaying the tall grasses, he will decorate this lovely lady with flowers and that they should get together while there is plenty of moonlight available - with the promise that he will traverse the field, he will cut the grass, and in the end he will kiss his girl.
