Gledam kapu djeda svoga
Gledam kapu djeda svoga was written by Serbian singer, poet and composer ŽELJKO PANONAC. First released in 1989 and subsequently re-released in 1993.
The song is about the historic close ties between Serbs and Montenegrins.…that they are indeed brothers using the same 4 “C”s as told by the author while looking at the Montenegrin cap which is so similar to the Serbian cap with the 4 “C”’s.
The chorus repeats:
And my old mother always knew to sing
“Who says, and who is lying that
Serbia is small
Whoever said that is fooling themselves
That Montenegro is small”
