This is a simple, quasi romantic song about the winter snowfalls.
Our Romeo has decided to visit his sweetheart as the snow has started falling. It seems that his sweetheart is somewhat wary of the upcoming winter and snow so our Romeo tells her that he will spend the winter with her to provide solace through the long winter months. He even states that winter is much prettier than any summer (one can surmise a white rural backdrop that would indeed look pretty). He tells her not to fear the winter for he is there to hug her.
He also tells his sweetheart that they will light up the stove - listening to the crackle of the wood. He poetically tells her that as the snow falls, their love will heat up keeping them warm and when the frost comes and tightens around them, their love will grow stronger.
