Ti Anđeo a ja đavo
This is another song from the late, great Novica Negovanović. LIKA Orchestra learned this song back in the early 1980’s as we enjoyed the concept of comparing the guy in a relationship as the devil, and his girl being the angel.
Basically, the verses (paraphrased) go like this:
They call me a black devil for kissing you
I knew every moment in my heart, that in this world, such a woman as you existed
Like a beautiful white angel from heaven
As for me, they say you have found a devil
But black and white always go well together
Like two hearts looking for love together
In the eyes of others, I’m black like the devil
I should have no right to such an angel
